Parang La Trek – Spiti to Ladakh

The nine day Parang La is the ultimate trek for the avid explorer. Complete with spectacular landscapes and untouched wilderness, the Parang La trek turns the rawest form of nature into your reality.

Back in the day, this ancient route that connects Ladakh with Spiti was used by the traders reaching Tibet.

The nine day Parang La trek begins from Kibber village in Spiti, which is one of the highest village in the world, and follows the path to Tibet over Parang La at 5600 mts before winding up along the high-altitude lake of Tso Moriri at a height of 4500 mts. Tso Moriro Lake is known for a plethora of indigenous birds.

The ending point of Parang La trek is Karzok village at the west bank of Tso Moriri Lake. This village is also home to a Buddhist monastery belonging to the Drukpa lineage and nomads who trade in Pashmina wool and salt.
